Sunkissed Tan, without the Rays

Sunless tanning is an adventure to say the least.  It is also a topic that I am well versed in, here are a few of my favorite tips and products that have worked great for me!  All of the products listed below are less than $10 a pop, so get ready for shorts and summer dresses, get that sunkissed glow!

*****I had the fabulous opportunity to work for L'Oreal, so that is why most products are in their family :)

L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Towelettes are great.  These are one time use cloths that add a light tint of tan in an even smooth coat.  Everything the box claims is accurate, it is streak-free and a quick tan approach, it dries in seconds.  This one is really hard to mess up...

This Sublime Bronze spray is another approach that gives a similar result to the cloths.  I like to use it in the shower so I don't get bronzing spray everywhere!  It is a little difficult to evenly apply to yourself, but I have never had any streaking or splotchy problems from the spray.

This is an oldie, but a goody :)  Jergens is a thick lotion that is easy to apply and does not streak.  It is a great moisturizer and gives a healthy glitter-free glow. **side note, I tried the wal-mart brand and was not impressed.  It streaked and did not moisturize nearly as well as the real deal.
THIS IS A SERIOUS BRONZER!  Sublime Bronze Tinted Self-Tanning Lotion looks like paint when applying.  If you are careful, this product will give you a medium to dark, glistening (glittery) GLOW!  If you are in a hurry, streaking will occur (speaking from experience) and the nooks and cranneys will glow white from all of the places you miss.  It takes a few minutes to dry, and it will melt off in the rain :)  High Risk, High Reward!
This is another shimmer daily moisturizer.  It melts in the rain and does not moisturize as well as Jergens, but does give you an instant dark shimmer.
Have you spray-tanned?  Some people are weary of the spray in fear of looking like an ompa-lompa, fear not, spray tans have come a long way over the past several years.  It takes less than 1 minute, dries in less than a minute and usually lasts at least a week.  On the flip side, it can be pricey, if you mess it up, you are out of luck for a few days, and you can't shower for several hours to a day after your session.
I have had great luck with spray tans, and am never hesitant to try OTC products.  What are your go-to glow products?

  1. I have product #3 and I love it! I don't love the glitter but the results are great if you take the time!
