Happy Birthday Sweet Sister Sarah!

Today is my sweet, beautiful, sister Sarah's birthday! We always celebrate together since our b-days are so close and I am looking forward to spending tonight with her and her friends :). We celebrated with our parents last weekend, and it was too funny when we opened our gifts because we both surprised each other with Coach bags, in the same color!

Happy Birthday Sarah! See ya tonight :)

Lookin' for New Talent

Today is a fun different work day!  I'm in Knoxville recruiting for summer interns!  We are interviewing today in the east skyboxes in Neyland Stadium, what a fun venue :)

This weekend should be a great one.  We are celebrating my sister's 25th birthday, watching football, playing interior designer at the law firm, hopefully visiting the corn maze, of course going to church and possibly pulling out the fall decor.

What are you doing this weekend?  Happy Fall Ya'll!

Love this Music City!

This was one of those weekends I am still in awe of the incredible music of Music City!  The Southern Ground Fest featuring Zac Brown Band was held less than 2 blocks from my condo, and we had perfect upper upper balcony seats :)  Even when we were not outside, I could hear the music clearly through my open bedroom window.  It was such a great treat Friday and Saturday night to drift off to the rockin sounds of ZBB.

Pics from Tennessean
To top off my weekend, my mom, sister and I have been counting down the days until the Carrie Underwood concert last night at Bridgestone Arena!  Our floor seats were incredible!!!  It kicked off with Hunter Hays....this kid is going places.  He is extremely talented and worked the stage like a pro!  He stole the hearts of every 16 year old girl in the arena ;)
To put it simply, Carrie was spectacular.  Her vocals were out of this world.  She played a lot from her new album, but also killed every favorite, Before He Cheats, Jesus Take the Wheel, Wasted, Last Name, Cowboy Casanova, I Told You So, and when she started Remind Me, BRAD PAISLEY surprised her on stage to sing their #1 hit!

Carrie welcomed us by saying: "I walked in with my husband (Nashville Predators player Mike Fisher) earlier, and I said, ‘This is where our worlds collide.’ He said, ‘You’re on my turf now.’ I said ‘(No way,) I was here first.’”

Check out this flying tree house she serenaded us in wearing her hubby's jersey

Thanks mom and dad for the best cherry on top of a birthday week ever!

27 Candles: It's My Birthday!

Happy Birthday to Me :)
When I turned 26, the number 26 seemed so old!  Now that I'm adding one to it, 26 doesn't seem so daunting.
This past year was fabulous....
  • I celebrated a year with my current company
  • Planned a fabulous graduation party for JK
  • Supported JK as he studied for the Bar, passed the Bar and started his practice
  • Joined Junior League to find opportunities for volunteering and meet new friends
  • Took a fabulous trip with my parents
  • Witnessed beautiful friends tie-ing the knot
  • Maintained my fitness regimen
  • Oh yeah, and started this blog ;)
I'm excited to see what 27 has to offer :)  Here's to the next year and becoming more fabulous!

P.S. Hey Mom, Happy I Gave Birth to You Day!

Tour Guide Tuesday: Southern Ground Fest with ZBB

Zac Brown Band is headed to Nashville this weekend (Sept 21-22nd)  for the Southern Ground Music and Food Festival!  Featuring performances by Zach Brown Band, David Gray, Michael Franti, Los Lonely Boys, and many others, and appearances by Sheryl Crow and Alan Jackson, this is bound to be a party!  It will be Friday and Saturday afternoon and evening at 1st and the Shelby Street bridge, right next to the river and trolley barns.  This is the first trip to Music City for the Southern Ground Fest, and since we love southern music and food, I'm sure we will be a match made in heaven.

From the website, I have gathered the following info:
1. No lawn chairs, coolers, SLR cameras, umbrellas or re-entry are allowed.
2. Single day tickets start at $67.50.
3. The food featured at the event is prepared by ZBB's executive chef and local food trucks.
4. Children under the age of 5 are free!
5. Backpacks, strollers and blankets are permitted.

Inspired by Christina at Carolina Charm, and a desperate need to add a little color to my desk, I'm loving this less than $1 craft!

Carolina Charm's Pen Cups

All you need is:
1. cans from your pantry
2. scrapbook paper
3. sissors
4. tape

3 Easy Steps:
1. Clean the cans and remove the label
2. Cut scrapbook paper to fit the can

Get a Gator Off Your Porch

So, we are heading to Knoxville this weekend for a great game, and like I mentioned before, ESPN's College Gameday will be airing live from Rocky Top!  One of the most fun things about gameday is the signs the fans proudly display during the broadcast...check these out:

Here is my trash talking sign :)  It's my favorite FL joke!

Ok, I probably won't really make a sign, but I can't wait to see what all of the crazy Vol fans come up with!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday Loves!  It's been a while since I participated in What I'm Loving Wednesday, so, let's catch up.

I'm loving these new Lilly looks for the fall!  Oh Lilly, I love you!

Oh yeah, and the Vols are ranked for the first time sine 2008 (#23), we are playing the Gators this weekend in Knoxville, JK and I have tickets, and ESPN Gameday will be there!  Epic weekend ahead :)

Keep your fingers crossed for a big win in Knoxville breaking our 7 year losing streak to the nasty gators.

I will have a fun project to share with ya'll next week.  A couple weeks ago, JK shot a video for his website, and yours truly got to be the handy helper.  The final cut is due back next week, and I can't wait to share it with you!

In other law firm news, JK also made a big purchase last week, and I couldn't be more excited, his desk.  Isn't she a beauty?  It is supposed to be delivered today, so Merry Christmas at my house!

Speaking of Christmas, I know it's only September, but seeing slight reminders that the holiday season is upon us puts a smile on my face :)  Lady A is releasing a Christmas album in October, and I know one lady that will be pre-ordering her copy (love ya mom!)

What are you loving today?
